Modernization, which is an urgent large-scale and dynamic socio-economic and socio-political transformations, is always associated with a departure from stability' and the risks of disruptions and national disasters. The key thesis of I. Diskin’s book says, that conservative modernization is a way to reduce risks and the most effective strategy for transformations.
Relying on the scientific concepts of sociology, economics and law, the author proves that the nature of the transformations must necessarily correspond to the macrosocial and sociocultural conditions of these transformations. The work contains specific characteristics of this correspondence, as well as a description of theoretical, methodological, institutional and methodological approaches to the implementation of the strategy of conservative modernization.
The book is aimed at both researchers in the field of social sciences and practitioners, whose task is to implement large-scale socio-economic projects.
