Every person at the age ofsixteen totwenty has tomake an extremely stressful decision, namely, tochoose their own career and place ofwork. Ideal work makes use ofour abilities, satisfies the requirements, fulfills awish and settles into aregular rhythm oflife.

There are many factors that make work more attractive. Which are the most popular among second-year students ofPRUE?

The purpose ofour poll was tofind out which factors are the most preferable (the most important) for undergraduates. We also limited the research process byasking our respondents toselect only three most valuable aspects at work out oftwelve offered bythe researchers.

As aresult, our respondents had toopt for the following:

1) Promotion opportunities

2) Qualification trainings

3) High salary

4) Personal growth

5) Work-life balance

6) Inspirationalboss

7) Good working atmosphere

8) Perks and benefits

9) Medical insurance

10) Pension scheme

11) Working for asuccessful company

12) Empowerment

Todraw aconclusion, it should be noted that the most essential factors at work for contemporary students are high salary (40%), promotion opportunities and perks (33,3% each), and good working atmosphere (26,6%). Such an outcome indicates that young people are more interested intheir self (self-improvement and welfare) than intheir future (family matters, retirement, health, etc.).

We conducted our survey on 100undergraduates ofPRUE. They were interviewed about the major factors contributing totheir job satisfaction. The following striking responses were received:

1) Generous salary. This factor has been chosen by60% ofour interviewees as amajor source ofjob satisfaction. It means that over half ofall the respondents believe that its the most essential factor for potential employees. Undoubtedly, many people want toget asufficient sum ofmoney for the duties they perform.

2) Opportunities for promotion. The number ofinterviewees who voted for this satisfaction component constitutes 52%. Presence ofsuch afactor at work motivates and stimulates employees todo their best and work hard.

3) Perks and benefits. The factor was selected by47% ofthe interviewees. The number ofresponses demonstrates that young people think that special benefits and additional privileges will help them tofeel satisfaction with their work.

Other factors contributing tothe sense ofsatisfaction with the work you perform but given no real importance are: work-life balance (18%), positive atmosphere (11%), and inspirational boss (9%). Such an attitude shows that students are not yet fully aware ofwhat awaits for them at their work places as these aspects (which got less votes) concern real working atmosphere inan office, cooperation and collaboration.

Tosum up, presence ofall (or at least many) motivator as well as hygiene factors at work will definitely make employees ofany organization feel satisfied with their duties and life.

Nowadays the problem offinding adream job is widespread among university undergraduates. Students want tobe apart ofaperfect, successful company, which will meet their preferences. Quite often the prestige ofacompany is not the only thing that makes an organization so desirable for an employee.

Inorder tofind out more information about the benefits, which attract young people inworkplaces, we have conducted asociological poll aimed at crucial factors indeciding what future job tochoose.

Tobe frank, we were shocked bythe results ofour survey. We believed that the millennial generation would be prone tosome aspects connected with beneficial social conditions. However, our expectations were not fulfilled.

The main priorities for modern students are sufficient remuneration (42%) and career advancement (31%). Definitely, promotion opportunities are very important for career and an employees reputation depends on their position / rank inthe company. However, we suppose that these options are unattainable without having any social aspects at the beginning ofapersons work for the firm.

We were also startled bythe low percentage ofpreference for such factors as good working conditions and perks (9% each), work-life balance (6%), and having job-related high-level training (4%).
